Acer presents its brand new Chromebook 516 GE laptop, which is its first ‘ Chromebook ‘ type laptop designed for gaming, which is already a novelty within the segment.

Like any laptop that is called ‘gaming’, it comes with a high refresh rate screen, in this case, we are talking about a screen with WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

On the surface, we have an RGB backlit keyboard with anti-ghosting technology and advanced DTS audio as well.

Inside we will not find a 12th-generation Intel Core processor, which is an Intel Core i7 P Series. This is combined with about 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Acer is confident that this laptop can run cloud gaming on major platforms like GeForce Now, which is what it’s prepared for with its aforementioned 120Hz panel. Remember that Chromebooks do not use the Windows operating system, so the only way to run current PC games is through cloud gaming services.
