ASUS shows off its custom ROG STRIX and TUF RTX 40 series cards. Following the announcement of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 graphics cards, major partners are unveiling their own custom models, hitting stores in the coming weeks.

ASUS Unveils ROG STRIX and TUF RTX 4090/4080 GPUs

ASUS is announcing RTX 40 graphics for its prestigious ROG and TUF lineups, which include the GeForce RTX 4090 24GB, RTX 4080 16GB, and RTX 4080 12GB models.

The top model here is the ROG Strix RTX 4090, which is 3.5 slots thick, has a die-cast metal frame, shroud and backplate, and cooling that consists of a vapor chamber.

The fans are Axial-tech type fans with a thicker design with 7 blades, these fans are offering up to 23.8% more airflow and 19.3% more pressure than previous generation fans.

The board has a 12+4 power phase system with 70A, with two power stages per phase. Of course, we have Aura Sync-compatible ARGB lighting and 0dB technology.

The TUF Gaming series is going to have its corresponding three models.

The TUF Gaming RTX 4090 is slightly thicker than the ROG version at 3.65 slots, but it’s also shorter at 348mm. This model features a die-cast ‘unibody’ shell.

The fans are also Axial-tech and are larger than in the ROG model. The cooling consists of a vapor chamber, in addition to adding a dual BIOS.

Nvidia has said that the RTX 4090 will launch in October, while the two 12GB and 16GB variants of the RTX 4080 will launch in November. ASUS still has many other models to announce. We will keep you informed.
