BIOSTAR announces the launch of its Z790 Valkyrie (DDR5) motherboard, one of its highest-end models with support for DDR5 slots, which will welcome Intel Core ‘Raptor Lake’ processors.
BIOSTAR Z790 Valkyrie: New High-End Motherboard With DDR5 Slots
BIOSTAR has officially announced the general release of the Z790 Valkyrie motherboard, which uses the most powerful chipset Intel offers for 12th and 13th-generation Cores.
This model is counting about 4 DIMM DDR5 slots, for a maximum capacity of 128 GB with boosted clock speeds that exceed 7200+(OC) MHz.
Of course, we have some PCIe 5.0 ports for the graphics cards and also for the storage interface. We are talking about 2 PCIe 5.0 x16 ports and a third with PCIe 4.0. One M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot, three M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, and one last M.2 PCIe 3.0 slot. There is also support for Intel Optane.
Connectivity consists of a WiFi 6E wireless connection. I/O options include a DP port (DP1.4), HDMI port (HDMI 2.1), and USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C port with DP.
The ALC1220 audio codec and Intel I226-V LAN chipset provide next-level performance with an added layer of security.
On the power side, the motherboard has BIOSTAR’s features, such as DIGITAL PWM and 105A Dr. MOS, to manage the most power-demanding processors.
BIOSTAR has confirmed that its Z790 Valkyrie (DDR5) motherboard should hit stores imminently.
