Don’t worry, this is a pretty common problem. Finding the notebook model is the first step in carrying out a whole series of operations involving the hardware and the software without distinction.

It allows you, for example, to download the drivers after a restore, replace (in case of malfunction) or update (in case of performance degradation) specific hardware components, such as the battery, but also the display and the memories.

Can’t you just get it back? No problem. In this article, we will explain how to find the model of the PC, both desktop (therefore desktop computer) and notebook.

Think that this procedure can be completed in at least four different ways; in some cases, even a look at the back of the computer is enough to find the information you want.

As we anticipated a few lines ago, finding the PC model is not a unique operation, in the sense that it assumes a single fulfillment method. The first solution we want to offer you is purely software: simply enter the computer settings to retrieve the exact model of your notebook or desktop computer.

We immediately anticipate that this procedure (but also the others) will take you no more than two minutes.

Seeing is believing.

The first thing to do is turn on the PC and unlock it. From the search bar located in the Start menu, type the item ” Settings ” and press the first result to enter the appropriate page dedicated to computer settings.

Make sure you are in the ” System ” section (first item top left) and scroll through the newly opened page to find ” About ” on the right side of the screen. Click the left mouse button on this item to enter the PC Information page.

We’re almost done. Under the name of the computer (the item to the left of the ” Rename PC ” button), you will find a specification of the model number of the computer. All you have to do is write it down and use it to download specific drivers for your PC or buy a replacement or additional hardware components for your device.
