QNAP continues to expand its product catalog. The company today made official the new QuTS hero TS-hx87XU-RP NAS series , available in 19-, 18-, 22-, and 30-bay models. This new series integrates the power of Intel Xeon E-2300 series processors with fast 10GbE and 2.5GbE Multi-Gig connectivity and an efficient HDD/SSD hybrid storage architecture.
QNAP Introduces TS-hx87XU-RP Hybrid Storage
It comes with the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system. This new series offers powerful data reduction, nearly unlimited snapshots, up to 5 petabytes of capacity per shared folder, and much more. Therefore, it is presented as an ideal storage solution that meets today’s business needs for file servers, virtualization servers, VDI and backup / restore.
The QNAP TS-hx87XU-RP series boasts extreme processing power thanks to the Intel Xeon E processor, as well as up to 128GB DDR4 ECC memory. It has therefore been designed to withstand heavy workloads. Built-in 10GBASE-T and 2.5GbE network ports are suitable for high-bandwidth demanding tasks.
PCIe Gen 4 slots are also included to expand the functions of the main NAS, such as adding 10/25GbE network interface cards , QM2 cards to add M.2 SSD and 2.5GbE/10GbE ports, Fiber cards Channel for SAN storage and expansion cards to connect QNAP expansion enclosures.
TS-hx87XU-RP series can be synchronized with 10GbE/2.5GbE switches manageable and unmanageable from QNAP.
Compared to traditional storage arrays, the TS-hx87XU-RP series with hybrid HDD/SSD storage strikes a balance between cost, performance and capacity, while the 9-bay TS-h987XU-RP also supports U. 2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4 x4 low latency slots. Users can easily deploy SSD cache to power IOPS-intensive workloads to access critical data.
The ZFS-based TS-hx87XU-RP offers reliable self-healing storage, advanced data reduction, and real-time SnapSync that ensures both primary and secondary NAS maintain identical data to support uninterrupted business operations.
QNAP’s exclusive QSAL (SSD Antiwear Leveling) technology helps prevent the simultaneous failure of multiple SSDs and improves data protection and system reliability. The comprehensive App Center also provides various apps that can be installed on demand, further expanding the potential of the NAS apps.
