Samsung: The October Security Update Is Here

Samsung has started rolling out its October security update. The latter concerns a whole gaggle of smartphones from the Korean giant. We take a look at the models concerned.

On its official site dedicated to security updates, Samsung gives details of what its October patch contains. On the menu, patches for around thirty major security flaws, including one described as a “critical” vulnerability. On this list, only two fixes address “moderate” vulnerabilities. Understand that the installation of this update is therefore more than recommended on eligible devices.

Which models are affected?

As often with the deployment of updates at Samsung, the most recent devices of the firm are first served. We note, however, that some slightly older models are also affected by this first wave of deployment. Here is the bulk list of devices affected by this important security update:

  • Galaxy S21 / S21+ / S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S21 FE
  • Galaxy S22 / S22+ / S22 Ultra
